The lunchbox snack that comes home empty

What goes in

We start with New Zealand apples from our own orchards in Tasman, puréed smooth. Then we add apple juice concentrate, natural strawberry flavour, a little blackcurrant juice concentrate and ascorbic acid (antioxidant). It’s 99% fruit, with no preservatives, no artificial flavours and no sulphites, and it’s vegan friendly and gluten free too.

Pop a pouch in the freezer overnight and it goes into the lunchbox as an ice pack. It keeps the sandwiches cool through the morning and thaws into a cold treat by lunchtime. Once it’s empty, the cap goes back on and the pouch rolls up small, so it comes home without leaking in the bottom of the bag, ready for soft plastic recycling.
